There are tons of ways to make money online without having to shell out any cash.

You can join an affiliate program and promote other people’s products for a share of the profits. Sites like clickbank.com, linkshare.com, cj.com are good places to start.

You can also use work for hire sites like rentacoder.com or guru.com to sell your services – ex. writing, programming, blogging, etc…

And then yes, there are companies that do charge a small fee for joining their company. Look at your budget and your personality and determine if you prefer to work for others for a guaranteed paycheck or if you want to work for yourself and put out a bit of money and effort to create your own business.

Wondering about the conclusion to this….I haven’t used it yet and it seems like allot of hype but no real value. Every month they claim the “launch” of their masterplan. When you download the plugin they have allot of lead capture for them but no instructions on how to use it. You have used it since March so I’m wondering did it work like the hype said it would?

The above two answers are exactly right. To add to it, because Mac computers use so many of the same tools as *nix computers, projects like MacPorts http://www.macports.org/ and fink http://www.finkproject.org/ provide *nix programs to mac with little or no modification.

Mac’s also have X11 installed, the window server used on many linux and other *nix flavors. The default window manager is Aqua, but it can be changed easily by downloading another Window Manager and modifying the xinitrc file. MacOSX is an official UNIX variant as of Leopard (10.5) while running on Intel processors.
MacOSX is based on OPENSTEP at it’s core (which includes the Mach Kernel). OPENSTEP came from Nextstep which has parts of FreeBSD and NetBSD in it.

iPhone OS is derived from MacOSX (both share the Darwin foundation). It’s not officially UNIX, technically it’s UNIX-like.

Android OS is technically a Linux variant (based on the Linux kernel). It uses a different kernel than MacOSX and iPhoneOS so they’re fairly different. Some Linux code can be recompiled for OSX however, so it’s not that difficult to port between the two.

So they’re all related and share similar origins (i.e. UNIX) but they use different kernels so aren’t exactly the same family.
