Review OF Deep Link Engine

I’m always looking for something that’s going to help me with search engines all the time. My one problem is that I hate having to do any real work. I thought this online business gig was going to be easy. Goes to show you that you can’t believe everything you see on the internet. Somehow a couple of days ago I stumbled upon a new WordPress plug called Deep Link Engine, and believe me the claims are quite strong. “Increase your traffic and page rank practically automatically with relevant links” is a pretty strong strong statement if I may say so.
Thinking there’s got to be something that comes around on the internet that’s true, I decided to get it. Being that Deep Link Engine is available for FREE, well that made the decision even easier.
I really didn’t want to stir up my websites with major changes because every time I change something major I lose something in the balance. So what I decided was to install it on my resort job search website since four days ago I mistakenly screwed up my data base and had to rebuild a totally new one so I couldn’t lose too much.
The installation of Deep Link Engine went quite well actually. Being that it’s a plugin for the WordPress platform, it pretty much installs like all other plugins you install on your WordPress blog. Implementation is also the same, actived through the WordPress administration panel.
Deep Link Engine works with published and unpublished posts. Since I didn’t feel like writing a new post just to try a plugin, I used my published articles. How the plugin works is it will search your post content and return a list of relevant tags. From those tags, it will search the internet and find the most recent or relevant blogs whatever the case my be and give you the option of which link you want to keep. As you save your choice of relevant blogs, Deep Link Engine goes out and pings all the owners of the relevant blogs you just saved and tells them that you have linked to them in the hopes that they will also link to your site.
At this point I’m thinking well that must work go. What if I’m linked to all those websites and no one links to me, then that’s too many outgoing links for my health. Within the first ten minutes of using Deep Link Engine I received a comment from someone by not linking. Hum, a least it seems to be doing something since I didn’t have any comments at that point on my site. So I rush to install the plugin on my other two websites. But then that was it. One comment, no incoming links. I was a little disappointed with the results. I suppose that’s what happens when you hope a new gadget will work but as work fast.
So yesterday, which was actually two days after implementation of Deep Link Engine, I decided to go and have a look at my WordPress dashboard and low and behold links and comment! And all relevant by the way. Ok it’s not many but it looks promising! On my resort job search site I got two incoming links and one comment. Pretty good for a website that gets 1000′s of page impressions and no incoming links since birth 3 years ago!
The cool thing about Deep Link Engine is that once installed and configured it runs automatically. Once you publish a new article the plugin searches and retrieves relevant material for your readers and gets you incoming links and all this happens when you click on the publish button in your WordPress administration area. This seems like the answer to everyone’s prayers. I will post another update on the performance of Deep Link Engine later into the 30 day review.
If you would like to try out Deep Link Engine and see how it can help you, you can get for FREE here. Since readers have emailed me looking for Installation Instructions, you can view them here.
Please share your findings with the rest of my readers if you don’t mind. It’s always nice to other people’s opinions.
