Is Income Web just another online scam?

About a month or so ago I came upon a website called “Income Web” that was promising quite an enticing opportunity. Upon signing up on Income Web’s free affiliate program you receive $3.00 as a sign up bonus as well as earn another $3.00 for every referral you generate. If that wasn’t enough, they also promise $.03 for every click received!

I don’t know about you but that kind of income opportunity always gets my full attention. For many years now I’ve been using Google Adsense to generate my online income and I am always on the lookout for new ways to monetize my hard earned website traffic.

Seeing the income opportunity potential offered by Income Web I signed up as an affiliate with “Income Web” and it was as promised! After signing up to the free affiliate program I had already generated $3.00 in my account. So I decided to add a banner which is available via the Income Web affiliate’s back office. The perfect banner for my websites was a 468×60 banner which I added to 3 of my websites that generate a constant flow of traffic.

The next morning when I checked my stats in the Income Web affiliate back office I was pleasantly surprised to find 3 referrals and several clicks, for a grand total of $15.82 in earnings in 1 day. Not really a fortune but when you multiply that by 30 days, It starts to add up! Especially if you’re just starting out with affiliate programs or online marketing for that matter, this seemed like the perfect program to share with my novice readers.

Unfortunately I was later to discover, Income Web is a scam.

All Income Web affiliate referrals that you recruit were supposed to pay $3.00 each, which is totally false! After recruiting 6 new referrals the referral fees stopped showing up. It seems that when your account reaches $30.00 – $36.00 approximately in earnings, ! They make sure your threshold is never attained!

Once I first noticed that I thought it might have something to do with their url cloaking software and went on using the standard affiliate link provided to me in my Income Web affiliate program back office. None of the changes made had an effect what so ever. So I emailed Income Web and guess what… you guessed it I’m still waiting for a response.

By this time I’m starting to fume! If you had brought in over 200 new referrals in which some have over 100 sub affiliates signed up, don’t you think you’d be fuming as well?
By doing a “whoisit” search I discovered that the company has 2 addresses, one in Toronto, Canada and the other in Paris, France.

As it turns out they own another website called “Go Easy Money”. Go Easy Money affiliate program is exactly the same as Income Web except for the sign up bonus being $2.50. I signed with Go Easy Money and same thing, high hopes. When I reached $32.41 everything stopped… no more clicks or referrals fees being paid!

As you can expect I hit the maximum in the fuming department and totally blew a fuse!! I wrote the Income Web an email about being &%@$$”? scam artists and &^#”?/#% scum knowing fully well that it wouldn’t be read or even answered to. Well surprise… I got a response. Dear Sir, Thank you… and goes on to explain where to find your Income Web affiliate link in your back office??

After writing to them three times with specific questions about the earning calculations and receiving always the same email back, Dear Sir, Thank you… I got credited $3.00 for my seventh affiliate referral!

It’s now been a week and sure there is plenty of raw clicks and referrals and sub-referrals being added but not one penny is being added to my total income in both programs!

All I can say is that I apologize to all affiliates and sub-affiliates that I have referred to both affiliate programs for having you waste your time on such meaningless programs.
